The Studio
Arcadia is an architectural surface studio focused on Venetian plaster and refined wall finishes.
Each project is developed in relation to the architecture as a whole - light, scale, proportion, surrounding materials, and the way the surface will be experienced over time.
The studio works on residential and commercial interiors in Connecticut, New York, New York City, and Florida, with projects ranging from individual architectural elements to large continuous walls, ceilings, and multi-level spaces.
Projects are intentionally limited in number to allow close involvement from the initial discussion and sample development through execution and final review.
Founder
Today, my work is focused on architectural surfaces for residential and commercial interiors.
I work with designers, architects, builders, and direct clients on projects ranging from individual architectural elements to large continuous walls, ceilings, stair halls, and multi-level spaces. The work often involves lime-based and mineral finishes, where scale, light, material behavior, and consistency across the full surface are essential to the result.
My professional foundation began in 2006, when I founded my first company and started working with large architectural surfaces and façade systems. That experience developed in Odesa, where historic architecture, classical façades, and a strong culture of decorative finishes created a demanding environment for surface work.
Over time, the practice expanded into interior finishes, restoration projects, and more complex decorative applications. I worked within a strong professional community, participated in technical training with international material manufacturers, and took part in field testing experimental finishing materials on real projects. My company was also engaged as a contractor on historic restoration work, where quality control, careful sequencing, and strict adherence to established restoration methods were essential.
That background continues to shape the way I work in the United States today. I approach each project with both technical discipline and visual judgment - understanding the design intent, developing the surface through samples, and carrying that visual language consistently into the completed architecture.
